In 2008 and 2009 we published two experimental editions of a new concept in E-magazines, Southwest Green. Linked through a high quality PDF core the interactive magazines featured links to specially produced podcasts, videos and newspaper articles. The magazine focus was on how people and businesses were using sustainability to inform and influence their decision-making processes with the goal of achieving superior overall results. In other words, how people were putting green to work.
The magazine featured articles written by such luminaries as Anthony Floyd and Robert Blaney (Az SBA) and covered projects ranging from Green Jazz at the Herberger to "Full Circle", the story of two sisters who as children rode the original Phoenix Trolley in 1930 and their ride with the Mayor on the inaugural run of Phoenix's new light rail in 2009.
Already iPhone and iPad ready, the magazines were ahead of their time. However things have changed and new editions are coming soon. Watch this space. In the mean time the links below are to the original fall 2008 and Spring 2009 publications. Enjoy.
